Semi-Live Blogging: Stitches Edition

Why figure out the healthcare system in the country you're in when you can do it yourself? Taking stitches out can be as simple as one, two, pull! As I always say, 'Sterilize, shmerilize.'

What you'll need:
Hands:

Check.
Sharp gardening scissors bought at the Niko Niko Do's dollar store area:

Check!

And we are ready to rock. First, bring the wound close enough to you to be able to see what you are doing. This is important in not creating a twin to your original malady.

Now we are ready to cut the stitches with the scissors. I suggest the easiest (i.e., most healed) one first. I also learned it is best if you don't actually cut the skin too. Here we go!

Make sure you cut all the way through! Those knots can be bastards.

Now we are ready for the fun part! Grab the tail end of the stitch you want to be out of your body. I suggest you pull down and cut it in such a way that the smallest part possible is being pulled through your skin, but, hey, you know--dealer's choice. Now, pull!

Continue this cycle with all your stitches until you are free of foreign bodies.

And there we go! Good job class! You are all done!

And doesn't it look great? I feel like we really accomplished something.

I think I am also ready to be a teacher.

That only made me slightly queasy to look at, which considering I saw the wound when it was fresh and didn't get sick, means you, my friend, are CORE!
Me miss you.
