Today is Halloween. To celebrate, I went reverse trick or treating. I walked down my street, knocking on each door and giving people candy. I yell 'HAPI HAROWEEN!' and proceed to give them cards and candy. I also pretty much forced the nearest white person (Kat) to try to carve Japanese pumpkins with me. I had to search a bit this morning to find whole, possibly carveable pumpkins to take over there. They really aren't very carveable, though. They are pretty much solid all the way through, which makes them impossible to empty out. Here is my baby though:

Pumpkins are really only orange on the inside here, too.
For the rest of the night, I am going to wait and see if anyone comes by my house. If they do, it is going to be the equivalent of winning the 100th customer or some such thing at a store, because I am going to freak out and give them all my candy. Even if they've come over just to give me my mail.

I love your Japanese jack'o lantern.
I just learned the history of the jackolantern. Technically, it should be a turnip.
However, don't feel bad that it is green. Mexican pumpkins are green too.
