I was supposed to compete/work at a sports festival but it was cancelled about an hour in because of a thunderstorm. So, it was an honorary caturday which I got to play with still nameless kitteh. I tried to find a robe but that didn't happen...instead I bought 'relaxing pants' and a shirt that said 'show the deep understanding'. Pretty relaxing. And deep. The kids will have to be incredibly frightened of me for another week...Kitten also managed to pee on by bed. Whoo. It is ok--it was probs time to wash that anyway... Kitten has also managed some incredibly clumsy feats. Tatoeba: everytime it has gone under my bed, it has hit it's head on the bed. Oh god, I think it is about to get inside a bag! That would be awesome. Anyway, technically my kitty is a girl, but I really prefer boy cats. So, I like to pretend he/she is transgendered and that getting fixed is the first part of her/his transformation. I think his/her personality fits this better. I don't mean to belittle the difficulties a transgendered person faces, but I think this is a better back story all in all. And I love him more for the difficulties he has had to face in finding his true self. Anyway, the names I have recieved or thought of so far are: Mr. Marmalade, Mango Pickle, Aslan, Bo Derek, Otto, Astrid, Lion, Robot and Pumpkin. What do you think?

I might have to stick with Mr. Marmalade. I have a soft spot for girl cats with the name Mr.
I had a girl cat for a while that we named Mr. Bubbles.
I like it. Plus, it's kind of a twist on the old "calling-an-orange-cat-marmalade" thing.
I love that cat! you lucky girl! I like Mr. Marmalade too. Or just name it cat. You are in Japan, it'll sound cool. Also, I am glad you are alive (I read the scary post).
No no, lisa and becca, as usual, are completely and utterly wrong. Mango pickle is by far the best name for a cat ever.
Fofo, Mango Pickle is maybe the dumbest name for a kitten I've ever heard. I mean, that cat doesn't even look like a pickle. Like, maybe a weiner dog could be named something with the word pickle in it, but not a fluffy cute kitten with pokey outey ears and big eyes. Don't be silly.
Kate, I think we have ALL learned better than to listen to Forrest.
Skimbleshanks the Railway Cat. Obviously.
MANGO PICKLE!
