Hanging around in the lost and found

My hand makes an appearance in Charlene's blog: http://japcharlie.blogspot.com/
I encourage you to check her out, though more if you speak French as I know a lot of my friends do. I chose the wrong language in high school, clearly.

One of the funniest things that happened to me this week was the foisting of ridiculous amounts of daikon and daikon related dishes upon me because there was an overabundance of crop return. I have now eaten daikon salad, daikon sukemono, daikon stirfry, a multitude of pickled and dried daikon and daikon soaked in shoyu and sugar. This after fervently insisting I actually don't care very much for daikon at all.

Another funny thing was a conversation with a school about tuna. 'You know, we sometimes call tuna 'umi no tori' or 'umi no tori niku.'' 'Wait...you sometimes call tuna...Chicken of the sea?' Visions of Jessica Simpson flashed through my head as I laughed uproariously at a joke no one got.
